Network marketing, you either love it or you hate it. If you're successful in MLM you know there is nothing like the feeling of helping people while you help yourself.
It's true, I admit it… I love network marketing. I believe it's far and away the best way to make an honest living from home. However, there is one thing about network marketing that drives me crazy.
Everyone always wants to teach you how to network.
"Talk to your friends, talk to your family, talk to complete strangers."
But nobody ever wants to talk about the marketing part of network marketing.
If you want success in MLM you're going to have to learn how to market. So what do you do when your upline or your company doesn't know or wont teach you how to do it?
The answer is simple… find someone who does know how to market and learn from them.
On the internet there are all kinds of marketing experts you just have to know where to find them. One of the best places to find a marketing expert is on a video sharing site like Youtube.
On Youtube there are a lot of silly videos but there are also a ton of videos that will teach you how to truly market your home based business.
Let me point out another thing too… marketing is not necessarily the same thing as advertising and almost all marketing online is free if you know what you're doing.
Another great place to find marketing tips is on a forum. There are many, many forums on the internet dedicated to online marketing. One of the best ones is the Warrior forum. There is a wealth of information on marketing on the Warrior forum and all you have to do is read and learn!
Of course the best way to learn marketing in network marketing is through your upline. So if you're not currently involved in a home based business shop around for a while and find someone who truly understands the art of marketing and how it applies to a home based business.
No product will ever sell it's self without the use of marketing. So take some time and learn how to market your business more effectively, you and your paycheck will be glad you did.

It's extremely important to have big goals in your home based business. However, you should never miss out on an opportunity to celebrate a small victory in your home based business.
Small victories are everywhere when you're looking for them. And paying attention to the small successes in your business might just be the thing that keeps you motivated when nothing else will.
It's easy to look at where you are and look at your ultimate goal and see how far away you really are. When you do this it's easy to get discouraged. After all if your goal is to make $100,000 a year and you're currently only making $30,000 that's a pretty big gap. When you do that though you're missing out on all the mini victories in between 30 and 100. Celebrate each and every little step you take on the way to your ultimate goal and the journey will be a lot more bearable.
Small victories don't all just have to be about money either. Maybe you generated 100 free leads today from online marketing. That's a huge deal! Perhaps you called your list today even though your hand was shaking the whole time. That's a victory too!
Are you starting to get the concept? Good!
Every day you should have at least one or two things to celebrate. And you should constantly be setting new and better goals for yourself. Some may have to do with money but many may not. Some of the biggest goals can be doing things that take you out of your comfort zone and challenge you to do something new.
Also, if you have a team of people under you don't be afraid to celebrate their small victories. People want to be recognized and appreciated. So try sending out a team email saying how great so and so is doing. Or how excited you are for so and so about their first sign up.
When people see that you're noticing the little things in their business they'll want to keep up the good work.
So what have you got to celebrate today in your business? Start looking for the small victories and you'll be closer and closer to your ultimate goal and major success working from home!

I had a great teacher in kindergarten. She taught me many, many things that I use in the real world every day. But beyond the ABC's and how to take a 15 minute nap after recess she also taught me things about how to be successful in my home based business. Think I'm crazy? Here are a few examples.
For starters she taught me that if I want more friends I have to be a friend myself. How does that apply to business? It taught me to view my prospects, business partners, and venders as my friends. I treat them with respect and in return I get respect back.
Obviously sometimes you have to stop being friends and get down to business. But as a general rule if you treat people like you would treat a friend you'll get a lot more from the relationship.
I also learned that you have to share.
Share what? Well your time for one thing. You have to treat people like they're worth your time and effort.
You also should share your knowledge. A lot of people don't get this and think they should keep all their really, really good secrets to yourself. However, when you give people your best bits of information they'll learn to trust and value you as someone the want to do business with. It might not pay off right away but it will somewhere down the road.
Share everything you have to share (within reason) and you'll build business relationships that will last forever and you'll always have lots of people who want to do business with you.
Another valuable thing I learned in Kindergarten was to take a recess. Not a long one, I'm not saying to take an entire week off. But, an hour here and 30 minutes there.
You'll find that when you come back from your recess you'll feel more refreshed and ready to go back to work.
If you do nothing but work, work, work all the time without ever giving yourself a break you'll end up getting burnt out really quickly and might end up giving up. So don't go for too long without giving yourself small breaks along the way.
Those are just a few examples of things I learned about my home based business from my kindergarten teacher.
