When you've been working from home for a while it's easy to forget that for most people getting to work involves getting in the car, rain or shine, and fighting through traffic to get to the office.

This is hands down one of my favorite things about working from home and to be honest there are days when I do all of my work in bed! Seriously, all I need is an internet connection, a laptop and a cell phone. Who else can say that? Not to mention the money you'll save on gas every month!

The Power Of The PJ!

Ok so not everyone who works from home works in their pajamas, but I bet they don't put on a suit and tie either. Isn't it nice to wake up every day and know you can wear whatever you want to wear?

It's important for full time home business owners to remember that not everyone has that luxury, in fact almost no one does!

Boss…. What Boss?

Ask anyone who has a job why they'd like to work from home and one of the number one reasons will always be: "To fire my boss" or "To be my own boss". Yet as soon as we actually make that happen we forget about the power in that. Being your own boss is an amazing thing. To wake up and not have to worry about making anyone but yourself happy… what a great thing. It's also awesome to know you can't get fired!

NOT Working For The Weekend!

Being able to do things in the middle of most peoples work days is awesome! There are no lines at the bank, very few people in the movie theatre and lots of parking spaces at the grocery store. Being able to go places without fighting the traffic or dealing with huge crowds is one of my favorite perks that come with working from home.

These are just a few simple examples of why working from home is the best possible career there is. So often we forget about these things and the hundreds of other reasons that make owning a home based business so great. Remember to enjoy working from home it truly is an amazing thing!

These days everyone is talking about the recession. I see it all the time on the internet and on t.v. people are constantly trying to find a way to stay afloat and pay all of their bills and many of them are turning to a home based business or internet marketing. So is this a good idea or something they'll end up regretting down the line?

I whole heartedly believe that a home based business is the best way to work from home, spend more time with your family and recession proof your life. Here are a few reasons why.

The first reason is simple and basic. It is secondary income. Even if we weren't in the middle of a huge recession how couldn't use a little secondary income?

When you have a second income you can not only pay all of your bills but you can also do some of the fun things that many people are missing out of because of these hard economic times.

Another reason a home based business will recession proof your life is that you can never get fired when you work for yourself. Even if you have a great job that pays you a lot of money you still should think about what would happen if that income was gone tomorrow.

Many people who believed their jobs would always be secure are now finding themselves in the un-employment line. Really no ones job is safe. The only way you are promised any kind of income is through a home based business. That's not doom and gloom that's just a fact.

Besides having a secondary income and a job you can't get fired from here are a few more good solid reasons why you should seriously think about working from home: spend less money on gas, take your children out of daycare, don't spend money going out to lunch, start part time and build your income up before you leave your job!

The list goes on and on. In this economic climate working from home just makes good sense! Don't wait until it's too late to start making money from home and recession proofing your families lifestyle.

I'm going to make a little bet with you. I'll bet you that if you follow these simple steps, and I mean really, truly follow them. You won't be able to fail in MLM or network marketing.

Step One: Find a company you're passionate about

Usually finding a company you're passionate about is all about finding a product you can believe in. If you can find a product that you'll be excited to market to your friends and family you'll be much more likely to succeed in that business.

Finding the right company also means finding the right up line to bring you into the business. This should be someone you feel comfortable with and someone who is committed to helping you find real success… not just sign you up and then leave you high and dry.

Step Two: Write out your goals

You'll never get where you want to go if you don't know where that place is. Take some real time and write out exactly what you want from your home based business. Be as specific as possible and keep the list with you at all times.

Step Three: Talk to people about your new company

Sound simple? Well you wouldn't believe the amount of people who join a home based business and then refuse to talk to anyone about it. Seriously… it happens.

Step Four: Create a schedule

Write down a schedule of exactly when you're going to work and for how long. Make sure you stick with this schedule as much as humanly possible. If you skip this step you'll end up thinking that you're working a lot when really you're not working much at all.

Step Five: Work even when you don't feel like working

Quitters give up when they're tired or things aren't going right. Winners keep on working even when they don't want to. This is the difference between an average MLMer and one that makes 6 figures. If you work through everything good or bad you'll create a habit for success.

If you follow these 5 easy steps exactly as I've written them out there isn't any way possible that you'll fail in network marketing.
