Confidence is contagious. When you exude confidence people are always going to want to be around you. More than that people are going to want to do business with you. In this article I'm going to be going over a few ways you can exude more confidence both over the phone and in person.

Let's start with over the phone. A lot of people believe that because you're on the phone people won't be able to tell if you're nervous or not. This is just not the case.

People can always tell if you're nervous even if they can't see your face or body language. So how do you exude confidence over the phone with a prospect?

One way is through speaking slowly. People tend to speed up their speech when they're nervous so by speaking a little bit more slowly you'll come off as more polished and confident.

Another way is by thinking before you speak. Um's and Uh's and nervous laughter do not sound like a confident person. If you don't know the answer to a question don't fumble just take some time and let them know you're not sure about the answer but you'll find out and get back with them.

Also, even though they can't see you it's always a good idea to sit up straight in your chair and smile. You might feel silly but this will make a huge difference in the way that you sound over the phone.

Now let's talk about exuding more confidence when talking to someone in person.

One powerful way to come off as more confidence is to keep eye contact at all time. Confident people will always look you right in the eye while more shy people will look down at the ground or somewhere else around the room.

Watch your hands. Don't allow yourself to play with your hair or fiddle with your tie. Keep your hands still and either to your side or on your hips.

Another great tip when speaking to someone in person is to stand up straight. This will automatically not only make you look more confident but chances are it will make you feel more confident too!

Follow these simple tips and you'll exude a ton of confidence and you'll draw people to you like a magnet. Remember, people want to do business with a confident person… so start being that person and fake it till you feel it!

Websites like Twitter, Myspace and Facebook are all in the social networking category. They're all different but to simplify it you just set up a profile and start networking with like minded people.

You can do this for just a few minutes a day and it's another great way to get tons of prospects every single month.

If you already have a video camera and a computer video marketing is free as well. Just create a short 1 – 5 minute video (any longer is usually a waste) and upload it to the many, many free video sharing sites online.

Make sure of course when you do this that you're including your website in the video so people know where to go to get more information about what you're offering.

Free Classifieds

There are several different free classified ads sites online the biggest being Craigslist. Simply create your ad for free and submit it to whatever city you want your ad to target.

The only downside to free classifieds is that you'll have to keep posting your ad over and over so you don't get the whole "do it once and it lasts forever" thing as the other methods I've mentioned. Still, free classified sites can be pretty good at getting you more prospects.

In any home based business there are 4 different and distinct types of people. Which one are you? Which ones should you avoid? And which ones should you always listen to? Listen up because it's all right here!

In any given home based business, network marketing company or MLM opportunity you will find: The Dreamers, The Big Talkers, The Workers and the Winners.

Let's start with the dreamers because there are a lot of them. In fact in every single home based business there are probably more dreamers than everyone else combined. The dreamers are the ones that make up the masses of MLM.

The dreamers are good people with big dreams. They want to quit their job, they want the fancy car and the great vacation. The dreamers are usually good hearted, hard working people with regular full time jobs. Although stay at home moms can be in the dreamer category too.

Anyone who starts off in MLM is going to start off as a dreamer. The key is not to stay there. If you've been a part of a company for more than a year and you're still just in the dreamer category chances are you'll never make it in the business. That might sound mean but it's just the truth.

Dreaming is good but if you're not working to make it a reality it's pretty worthless.

The next category to look out for are the big talkers. I'm sure you know the type. They are pretty impossible to miss after all.

The big talkers are the ones who sign up to get started in a company and like to talk about how successful they're going to be. You can always spot these people because they'll be saying something like:

"I'm gonna be the fastest person to ever hit $100,000 a year" or "I have a background in sales so I'm gonna blow this thing out of the water"

It's not that it's bad to make these claims but you'd better be ready to back them up and 99.9% of the time the "big talkers" don't do that.

Much like the dreamers it's ok to start here (although you're going to annoy some people) but if you've been in the business for a while and you're still not doing what you've been talking about doing you probably never will.

Big talkers usually come and go in a home based business.

Next is the workers, these are people who are having moderate success in their business because they work hard for it.

They may not know everything about everything, but they are consistent and they're on their way to the top. The workers might even make enough money to quit their full time job but they haven't really had their big breakthrough just yet.

If you stay in the worker category for long enough and keep at it you'll move into our final category.
The winners! You know a winner when you see them. They are the ones on stage, teaching others, winning contests and awards and showing everyone else what they should aspire too.

There usually aren't very many winners in any business but that's not because it's impossible to get there it's just because most people aren't willing to stay in the worker category for long enough.

The winners usually still work on their business but their focus is usually more on helping others succeed since they've already had success themselves.

So which category do you fall under? No matter which one it is remember that it IS possible to succeed working from home. You just have to keep on working hard and believe in yourself and your business.
